Article V Convention of States

When I first heard about the recent Article V Convention of States Simulation that happened last weekend, I was first a bit skeptical about it’s timing.  I guess I always figured that this would be for a time when the failure of our country was eminent.  And maybe it is.  But I like to think optimistically, so I just don’t want to think we are there. So, with my skepticism, I just thought that Mark Levin was trying to promote his Radio and TV programs, and left it at that.  However, after hearing an interview with Mark Meckler on the

Pillar Four: Economy

The fourth pillar I would like to discuss in the Seven Pillars of Society series is the pillar of economy. The economy is any means that the society uses for the exchange of goods.  This could be a rudimentary as a bartering system or a more complex arrangement of credits and debits.  Or even in our modern era a system like bitcoins. It is amazing to me how much the economy becomes are part of every aspect of society.  The government needs and exchange system in order for it to have the means to fund itself.  Religion require the benevolent

Some Thoughts on Glenn Beck’s Reaction to Ted Cruz’s Endorsement

So, I have to admit, after hearing Glenn Beck’s reaction to Mark Levin’s decision to vote for Donald Trump, I was expecting a lot more kind approach to Ted Cruz’s decision.  Perhaps it is because Cruz encouraged others to vote for Trump or because he used the word “endorse” in his announcement.  But I actually think that it is a lot more personal than that. As I have said before, I have study Family Science. As a result of my education, I often see thing in the world through the eyes of psychology.  And I think that often in politics

My Thoughts on Ted Cruz’s Endorsement of Donald Trump

The world seemed rocked on Friday when Senator Ted Cruz announced that he would be voting for Donald Trump.  And while I was disappointed, I wasn’t shocked.  I had been keeping an ear to the proverbial wall, and I had been hearing that it might happen.  I hoped and prayed that he would not endorse Trump.  But I had also resolved that it wouldn’t affect my opinion of Ted Cruz. There are several reasons this should not be an issue. First, Cruz signed an agreement while running as a candidate for the Republican nomination that he would support the party

Pillar Three: Religion

The third pillar in the series on the Seven Pillars of Society that I would like to talk about is Religion. As you can tell from the general nature of many of my posts.  Religion is one of my favorite topics.  Not necessarily my specific faith, although I like to talk about that too, but religion in general.  I think that it is such an important part of any society, even for those that don’t profess a religion. Religion is the organization that provides the standards, mores, and values of a society.  Religion needn’t be Christianity.  Religions come in almost

Presidential Candidate Preview: Evan McMillan

So, I was holding off on mentioning any of the Presidential candidates until something newsworthy came up about them.  The problem is that the two front runners for the office of POTUS are such jokes, there isn’t enough media time to give any of the tertiary candidates free air time.  Not to mention, that most of the rest of the candidate are too stable to ever warrant air time because of something outrageous they did. Until now, I haven’t spent a lot of time studying McMillan.  While I think he is sincere in his candidacy, I believe that he is
